Answers to your Questions
How are Permanent Cosmetic Procedures Performed?
Permanent cosmetics procedures are performed using various devices, including the traditional tattoo coil machines, the pen or rotary machine (includes the digital rotary machines) and the non-machine or hand device. The process includes a consultation, the application of pigment, and at least one or more follow up visits for evaluating the healed design work and color of the pigment.
Is Permanent Makeup safe?
Your health and safety are my priority! I am Bloodborne Pathogens Certified to keep you safe and healthy from the spread of disease like HIV, Hepatitis and Herpes. (you can get any of these diseases if you choose someone that is not qualified and certified). All procedures are performed using disposable supplies that follow strict sanitation and sterilization guidelines as required by the Center of Disease Control (CDC) and OSHA regulations. Permanent Makeup is a clean, safe, and sterilized environment that has been inspected and permitted by the Health Department.
Is the procedure uncomfortable?
Unlike most people that do permanent makeup, Permanent Makeup uses a prescription strength topical numbing solution for your comfort. In most cases our clients have no problem and say it’s very tolerable and they barely feel anything at all.
How long will Permanent Makeup last?
Many factors influence the longevity of permanent makeup such as the sun, hormones, skincare products, chlorine pools, medications and hydration of the skin. Your permanent makeup can last for several years depending on your skin. Darker pigment will last longer than lighter pigment. If done correctly with quality pigments your permanent makeup should last around 3-5 years give or take. Most permanent makeup procedure requires a touch up session to layer the pigment and do any corrections needed.

How long will the procedure take?
Procedure times may vary depending on the area of application, the individual's case and how much work needs to be done and sensitivity. Most procedure will take anywhere from 1-2 hours. Four to six weeks later a touch-up session should last about 30 minutes per area.
What can I expect after the procedure?
Colors appear darker, brighter, thicker and unnatural looking in the beginning, and then lighten up 50%-60% over the week to a more soft and natural look in appearance in approximately 7 to 10 days. Depending on the area, you may have swelling and redness anywhere from 24-72 hours. Most clients are capable to drive after eyeliner procedure, and in most cases you will look like you’ve been crying. The thicker the permanent makeup is the more swelling darkness you will be. The first 72 hours is the at the peak of reaction for eyebrows, and 24 hours for eyeliner. Depending on the intensity of the procedure and your own bodies healing ability, you may seep lymph and blood anywhere from 24-72 hours. We will give you after care instructions to take home.
What are my aftercare instructions?
Keep the area tattooed moist with no direct water for 5 days for eyes, and 10 days for eyebrows, lips and camouflaging procedures. Lightly apply moisturizer 3-4 times a day and evening, never allowing your tattoo to dry. If you do not follow proper aftercare and you form a scab, it will pull all the color out of your skin and into the tattoo. When the scab come off it takes the color with it, leaving remnants of undesirable base color and will make your tattoo look uneven in size and shape. We recommend you use A&D ointment from any place that carries lotions/moisturizers, or our least recommended - Vaseline, for 5-10 days after the procedure. For eyeliner procedures, if you are worried you may cannot keep the ointments above from getting into your eye, you can use a Lubricated Eye Ointment P.M. from any eye care isle. There are a few to choose from one being Stye Eye. Ask your local pharmacy department in any store.
